Some weeks ago I went with my family to the Nogeyama Zoo located in Yokohama City to celebrate my son’s birthday. The place is really nice, small enough that you don’t get too tired for walking (specially good for little kids), the animals looks good and healthy and there is a zone for kid where they can touch and care some little animals.
Hace unas semanas fui con mi familia al Zoológico de Nogeyama en Yokohama para celebrar el cumpleaños de mi hijo. El lugar es muy bonito, lo suficientemente pequeño para no cansarse de caminar (especialmente bueno para los niños pequeños), los animales se ven bien y sanos, y hay una zona donde los niños pueden tocar y cuidar animales pequeños.
The zoo is home for more than 100 species (from the official website) – including lions, tigers, giraffe, penguins, monkeys, reptiles, etc.
El zoológico alberga más de 100 especies (según el sitio oficial) – incluyendo leones, tigres, jirafas, pingüinos, monos, reptiles, etc.
But maybe the main star of the Zoo is the Red Panda – so cute! Fuwa Fuwa ^^
Pero seguramente la estrella del zoológico es el Panda Rojo – ¡tan tierno! Fuwa Fuwa ^^
It is a very active one, usually I always struggle to see the Red Pandas, but this one is not shy at all – you can watch the live cam here
Este es muy activo, normalmente es difícil ver a los Pandas Rojos, pero este en especial no es nada tímido – lo pueden ver en la cámara en vivo aquí
Nogeyama zoo is a very nice place to go with your family or friends to have a relax time! It really makes you forget the fast moving life of the city.
¡El zoológico de Nogeyama es un buen lugar para ir con tu familia o amigos para pasar un rato relajante! Te ayuda a olvidar la vida vertiginosa de la ciudad.
I know there are a lot of people against the zoo because animals should be free. I agree but at the same time is a unique experience for little kids too.
Se que hay muchas personas que están en contra de los zoológicos porque los animales deberían ser libres. Estoy de acuerdo, pero al mismo tiempo es una experiencia única para los niños pequeños.

The giraffe was incredible, so close and so tall. Never been that close to such a big animal.
La jirafa es increíble, tan cerca y tan alta. Nunca he estado tan cerca a un animal tan grande.

After that we went to Yokohama bay to have a little walk (about 10 minutes walking from Nogeyama Zoo)
Después nos dirigimos a la bahía de Yokohama para pasear un rato (está a unos 10 minutos caminando desde el zoológico de Nogeyama)
